Students run this.

Not as helpers to an adult-run charity — the actual work. Students watch the listings, make the phone calls, load the vans, carry the amplifier up the stairs, and sit down at the piano in the day room. If you want something on a college application that you can actually talk about for ten minutes, this is it.

Perform

Play for residents

Around twenty minutes of material, at a residence near you, a few times over a term. Any instrument. No audition — if you have had a year of lessons, you are ready.

  • Roughly 2–3 hours per visit including travel
  • Counts toward school service hours
  • We pair newer players with someone experienced
Behind the scenes

Find and move instruments

Watching listings, writing to owners, checking an instrument over, and the unglamorous business of getting a piano down a set of front steps. You do not need to play anything.

  • Some of it is from your laptop
  • Some of it needs a Saturday and a friend with a vehicle
  • Also: photography, writing, and keeping the website honest
